Virginia and I just returned from staying at Casa Luna at the Garden Apartment for 2 weeks.We had a great trip dancing, dancing, and more dancing! The apartment was a good size for 2 people with lots of cupboard space to store and hang our clothes. The welcome fruit basket was a nice touch. The location of the casa was close to a lot of milongas and at times we were able to walk which was nice. If not, it was a short taxi ride.
Being my first time without an organized tour, and with limited Spanish, it was very helpful that we could count on Vicki and Rob for restaurant recommendations, exchanging money, booking our milongas and some extras. They always get us the best tables at milongas.After a while, we felt confident to venture to the various milongas on our own. Vicki took time to take me to her favorite seamstress who was able to deliver within 2 days. She also took me dress shopping. We were privileged to be there during her birthday, and meet her friends and tango dancers. That was a fun night.
Last but not least, we were able to get massages from Gus who was awesome right at the Casa. Also private lessons from Diego and Lejandra . Thank you VIcki and Rob for welcoming us so warmly.
