My review, Thanks. See you in La sometime
I rented a room for a month in Buenos Aires in Casa Luna owned by Vicki and her partner Rob. I was centrally located with many bus lines accessible within one to two blocks and the subway a tree block walk. Many Milongas are a short bus ride away. The house is clean, comfortable and decorated in Art Deco style, with wireless and dish TV. There is a complete kitchen to cook in which I hardly used except to store the leftovers from the great local neighborhood restaurants. They are very reasonable and very good.
In the apartment there is an open practice room that has extraordinary acoustics where you could conscript a private lesson at the house.
Since my focus in Buenos Aires was to learn Tango, I was most appreciative of the guidance I received to navigate the Tango World. For one, I was directed to great Tango Master, Angel Christaldo, with whom I studied every day I was in Buenos Aires. Rob helped me find Milangas appropriate for my level. I was directed to great tango shoe shops where I bought hand made comfortable shoes. Several nights I traveled to a Milanga with people from the house. There were satisfying conversations in the living room about the intricacies of the dance and Argentinean culture...The apartment was a perfect base for exploration of Buenos Aires and other areas of Argentina. I recommend this place as a moderately priced, very comfortable, well appointed place to stay.
