We reccomend a visit to the leather wholesale district at the end of Ave. Scallabrini Ortiz.
Or, just walk two blocks away to your left on San Jose and you will find three or four quality leather shops.
You will also find another section of great shops on Ave. Suipacha about 600.

For the VERY best in handmadeTango shoes we use and recommend Bottier. Just a busride to the factory for a personal experience. Other tangoshoes we can recommend a lot of good stores.

Just two block's to your left on San Jose you will find great street shoes for men and women.

Many wonderful shops within walking distance. We also have a wonderful seamstress to create wonderful things for you.

San Telmo has the most exclusive shopping. But the Mercado de Pulgas and many of the surronding streets in the Dorrego area are great as well.

Barrancas has a great antique market at the train station. Near the river; you can travel on the Tren de la Costa and view the boats on the river. Return on the 168 bus for 4 pesos per person. On Sundays only, they are open until 8 p.m. & better prices than San Telmo.
